Kachifo Limited has a new Chief Operating Officer in the person of one of its famed writers the Benin City-based Dr. Eghosa Imasuen. Former COO, Yona Oyegiun-Masade, who made the announcement for the company which owns the Farafina imprint this week, is now managing editor.
Imaseun, who told me in his house in Benin late last year that medicine no longer held interest for him, informed friends he would be moving to Lagos two weeks ago at a Freedom Park event in honour of Chinua Achebe.
The announcement confirms the change of base of the writer of the novels **To Saint Patrick** and **Fine Boys**, among many other short stories published online and elsewhere.

Imasuen was born on May 19, 1976, and grew up in Warri. He graduated from the University of Benin, Benin City in 1999 and lives in Benin City with his wife and twin sons.
